From the same owners as Hugo’s comes this oyster bar with its clean lines and seating around the oyster bar, huge windows looking onto the street or large share tables. The Monster gets a Singapore Sling (what a great drink btw, doubles for the Monster fave Pimm’s Cup in a pinch) and peruses the menu.
Oyster on the half shell dominate the menu and there are nine types from Maine alone (Winter Point Selects – West Bath, Basket Island – Casco Bay, John’s River – South Bristol, Pemaquid – Damariscotta, Flying Point – Freeport, North Haven – North Haven, Glidden Pt. – Damariscotta, Pine Pt. – Scarborough, Norumbega – Damariscotta) along with another six selections from father along. You can choose two of the ten accouterments to accompany your selections like the common red wine mignonette or the less common kim chee ice.
