1) Pinkberry is launching Pinkberry Greek, made to order and never pre-packaged. The thick, creamy Greek yogurt is rich in protein (18g) and can be paired with healthy, fresh, hand-cut fruit and vegetables, premium granolas and natural sweeteners like fruit purees. Consumers can choose from six culinary-inspired pairings like Berry Chocolate, Cucumber or Caprese.

2) Picante Latin Fusion Restaurant has recently opened.  Picante is Peruvean, Mexican and Argentinian Fusion, made from scratch, with fresh, quality ingredients and they are offering dishes at less than $15. They opened in March above Santee Alley.

3) From high-end street wear to hair salons to tattoo parlors, Melrose Avenue has always been a welcoming wonderland for accessible art in multiple forms without the fluff. Melrose Night provides the perfect marriage of eclectic shopping with nouveau eclectic food every first Thursday of the month. Not only does Melrose Night celebrate creative experimentation, but it also allows the foodies of Los Angeles to enjoy scrumptious food on a recession-proof budget while listening to live music.

This month’s festivities (July 5) will feature over fifteen food trucks including:

Buttermilk Truck with homemade breakfast favorites
Lobster Truck famous for their lobster rolls
NomNom Truck serving an array of Vietnamese dishes
Frysmith smothers their fries with sustainably farmed/humanely raised ingredients
Trailer Park Truck with hamburgers and delicious grilled food down home style
Yalla Truck providing healthy and delicious Mediterranean Fusion
Holy Aioli cooking up divine sandwiches and salads

4) Food Network’s CHOPPED is coming to LA! and is seeking the next round of skilled chefs to compete on one of the hottest cooking completion shows.
