Saturday San Pedro held its annual Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival and The Monster was a guest of The Better Show’s License to Spill. Held at the Ports O’Call Village, this event features great food, music, street performers and an all around fun weekend. The Monster loves lobster so there was no way he was missing this.
The Monster did an on air segment for License to Spill sampling the Ports O’Call restaurant’s cioppino and it was delicious. Lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, crab, and salmon in a Carmelita-crush tomato sauce served with sun-dried tomato pesto baguettes. Did The Monster mention cioppino is one of favorite foods in the world? Did he mention how he absolutely destroyed this cioppino? Yes, he did in fact drink from the bowl (pics after the jump)…
If you’re out San Pedro’s way stop in at Ports O’Call and sit waterfront while sampling from their seafood heavy menu. With over fifty years under its belt Port O’Call has been pleasing patrons with great views, friendly service and wonderful food.
License to Spill is traveling the country sponsored by Mohawk Flooring (America’s largest flooring manufacturer) hitting food festivals from Boston to Seattle and featuring a different food blogger at each stop. License to Spill challenges people to spill everything from ketchup to baked beans on Mohawk’s SmartStrand carpets and see for themselves how well they are stain resistant.
The Monster wants to thank everyone from The Better Show, License to Spill and Ports O’Call restaurant for a great day.
And check back in about ten days for video from the event.
