The Monster does not go to Bittercreek Alehouse with the intention of having too many drinks but that is absolutely what happens.  And it happens because of their drink menu.  Drink roulette in fact occurs.  More on that in a bit.

A good looking room, friendly service and a great menu of upscale bar food that is sourced as locally as possible and plenty of draft beers is why you come.  Place gets packed and everyone seems to be having a good time.

The Monster is not hungry.  But once drink roulette starts food must be ordered.  And so some Buffalo wings, chicken street tacos with chimichurri marinade, extremely hot habanero-carrot salsa and chocolate pie are the call.

So, what is drink roulette?  You take the drink menu and fan through it and the waiter says stop.  Whatever drink you land on (the list is huge) is what your friend will drink.   And vice-versa.  This happens eight times.  The waitstaff is amused with us.  The manager, less so.

The list is great because they tell you the provenance of each drink.  Where it was invented, how strong it is and how to make it.  The Monster will not pretend he remembers much of this info but perhaps you will.

The food arrives (just in time) and the tacos are the standout.  Spicy, delicious, great drinking food. The pie is also wonderful.  Sadly, the wings are just okay.

Full and happy The Monster leaves Bittercreek Alehouse while he can still do so on his own.

Why go?  Drink roulette sounds awesome.
